I have to thank my sister and brother in-law for this introduction! "Make my Cake" in Harlem's West Side has Red Velvet cupcakes that are beyond comparison. Of course, the cake part is good, but I challenge anyone to find a better cream cheese frosting. As Wesley says about the ROUS' in The Princess Bride, "I don't believe they exist." I feel the same way about "Make My Cake's" cream cheese frosting - I don't believe a better one exists! (Although I will say that "Simply Sweet's" in Egg Harbor City is amazing as well - ok, it's just as good, but a different texture. This is why I like to explore different cupcake places :)
If that is not good enough for you, I have had two Texans tell me the same - that there was no better red velvet to be found. Now, Southerners know their Red Velvet!
